About me
I never thought I’d love gardening. Growing up, I dreaded yard work, and as an adult, I left most of it to my husband. But everything changed when we moved to two acres overlooking the Columbia River Gorge in Troutdale, Oregon. Suddenly, I felt at home—and inspired to make it beautiful.
That first spring, my husband gifted me a garden for Mother’s Day. I discovered roses, fell in love with peonies, and started growing six dahlias given to me by a neighbor. Now, I’m cultivating nearly 200 dahlias across over 50 varieties, filling my home (and neighborhood) with blooms I grew myself!
Gardening has taught me the joy of working with my hands, the thrill of nurturing plants, and the magic of watching a garden grow. Whether you have a balcony or a backyard, there’s always space to grow something beautiful.
